Parcel 205
Loveland, CO
Parcel 205 was a re-analysis of an existing detention pond.
After years of the wetland pond functioning normally, rapid surrounding development paired with loss of volume due to sedimentation and wildlife activity caused the pond to deteriorate and lose ability to adequately detain stormwater events and provide water quality. Due to the nature of the pond being an active wetlands with many species of birds, waterfowl, and other wildlife, extreme care was taken to not disturb existing vegetation and wildlife areas within the pond bottom.
In total, around Multiple subdivisions were re-analyzed for acreage and imperviousness against their designed values and new stormwater event flows were determined based on as-built conditions. In total, around 300 acres of existing residential, commercial, and grassland areas were reanalyzed and input into hydraulic software to re-verify the necessary pond volume and generate a construction plan to get the pond back to its functioning condition.
